Varnish EC 959, electrical insulating 

Varnish EC-959 is a solution of ethyl cellulose K-150 plasticized with tricresyl phosphate in a mixture of toluene and ethyl alcohol with the addition of an antiseptic.

PURPOSE 

Varnish EC 959 is used as a cable varnish for varnishing the fabric braid of low-voltage and installation wires.

PROPERTIES 

Varnish EC 959 is used in wires with polyvinyl chloride insulation, which does not require protection from oil and gasoline, as well as for varnishing installation wires with fiber insulation. The varnish has good adhesion to metals, wood, paper. Quite resistant to water, salt solutions and alkalis, but sensitive to acids.

APPLICATION METHOD 

EC-959 varnish is applied by dipping using a special technology. The film thickness after repeated application should be 0.2 mm. The coating must be heat-resistant, maintain elasticity after holding the varnished wire at a temperature of 75-80°C for 24 hours.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE 

Varnish EC-959 is stored in compliance with the requirements of GOST 9980.5, in a tightly closed container, protecting it from moisture and direct sunlight, away from heating devices and electrical devices.
