BUTYL ACRYLATE

Butyl acrylate - butyl acrylic acid ester, propenoic acid butyl ester, butyl propenoate. Colorless liquid with an unpleasant odor.

Butyl acrylate is a monofunctional monomer consisting of acrylates with a characteristic high reactivity and a cyclic hydrophobic moiety.

APPLICATION

Butyl acrylate is used in the production of organic glass and as a comonomer in the synthesis of acrylic dispersions used in adhesives, binders, impregnating compositions in leather, printing, paint and varnish, pulp and paper, and other industries. Direct application in production:

— acrylic and water dispersions;

– industrial and architectural water-based paints;

– industrial and architectural coatings;

- textiles;

- varnishes;

- pulp and paper;

– coatings for leather, wood and metal;

— adhesives;

- inks, sealants and sealants.
