BUTYL ACETATE
Butyl acetate is a clear liquid with a characteristic caramel odor, pleasant in small concentrations. Dissolves esters of cellulose, oils, fats, chlorinated rubber, vinyl polymers, carbinol resins.
APPLICATION
The addition of butyl acetate together with a small amount of butyl alcohol prevents the whitening of lacquer films. Due to its excellent ability to dissolve nail polish, butyl acetate has been widely used in cosmetic nail polish removers. Its use is much safer than the use of acetone. But, because the cost of butyl acetate is almost twice as expensive, many manufacturers mix acetone in such washes, which causes significant damage to the skin. In the countries of the European Union such washings are strictly forbidden, and at us their application is not regulated by anything. Therefore, choosing a rinse aid, carefully sniff the purchased product. Caramel smell is the hallmark of safer butyl acetate. A sharp, pungent odor, not masked even by fragrances, emits acetone, which is extremely dangerous for the skin and nails.
